So my latest fall was this past Monday, and the soreness that followed was to be expected.
I went to my flip fitness class last night and the soreness that wasn’t too bad, well, it seems as if it were awakened by the exercise. Not too much fun, especially when you are left to go scrounging for rubbing alcohol to try to take the ache out. I thought I was using my head and doing moderate versions of the exercises, but I guess I was wrong. I came in here today like a Walter Brennan** remember the Real McCoys?** stand in. I have to admit it is not a really attractive look. The fact that I have been trying to cook healthier for us and now that it is getting warmer, introducing more fruit, well, when you are aching, you really just don’t give a hoot.
I can only hope that the ache dissipates for the weekend and on the mend becomes a permanent state.
Sunday I, God willing, turn 54.
I am at the age where I enjoy a birthday weekend. I mean who wants to have a birthday in the office? I love my office but hey, I’d sooner sleep in, have breakfast out…you know what I mean? I am going to an open house on Saturday night with Jim.
I’ll try to check in over the weekend, to let you how I am doing this weekend: here’s hoping you have a good weekend too!
We are NOT at Undisclosed this weekend because we have things to do in the city.
Called Shingleman to see what’s going on this afternoon, and he informs me HE’s working tomorrow.
**holding my head in expectation of the headache that’s a-brewing**
Have a good weekend.
We are on are the road.
It’s evident by the picture I attached on the bottom. It’s raining. It’s ok, though, because a day away from the office beats any day of the week in the city.
I am still coughing, but hopefully it’ll be down to a dull hack. The challenge is to keep heartburn to a roar while keeping the mucinex down.
Weather notwithstanding , we will be happy to recharge our batteries
Have a wonderful weekend!
I am so thankful for this weekend.
I still am hacking, but am looking forward to resting this weekend and getting a ton of fluids in.
We are busy at the office, and I try to keep my tuberculosis/ hack to a minimum. I mean it would be nice if my ribs would stop hurting .
Sure, I’ll feel better by Wednesday ..,. The day of my doctor’s appointment…lol
Here is a shot of Shingle-man, aka, my Jim, who was playing guitar last night when his Mom and sister were over to pay us a visit. They figured since he is past the contagious stage, it was worth the trip. It was really funny because although he was not quite as miserable as he has been, they could see the difference in him was the medicine was kicking in. We both were sleepy, and we are not talking midnight, here, folks, we are talking 8P.M. My Kasia is sitting by her boyfriend, Daddy, waiting patiently for Mom to take her and Zush out for a walk.
We are leaving mid-day for the ‘Undisclosed Location”, as our feeling is it is just as easy to feel lousy there, but there is something about being out of the city that makes it all a little better.
Have a wonderful weekend!
..because the last two weeks were too long, today is a day I am looking forward to.
It’s always been amazing to me to see the amount of things we cram into a weekend. Hell, sometimes I think I do more mandatory activities on a weekend then I do during the week. There’s stuff with mom, obviously, then food shopping, wash, dog walking, cooking, …you get the point.
This weekend, I intend to do NOTHING…outside of the basics, naturally. Any down time I get I will be in a reclined position. Anything taxing on my mind will be swept out, albeit temporarily. As they always say, take time to stop and smell the flowers…well, this weekend? I’ll be taking tons of bouquets in.
Here’s hoping you get a chance to do the same.
