With the exception of the local idiots setting off fire works, it was a pleasant New Years,considering we were both sick. Jim actually went to urgent care to get my ever popular “acute bronchitis-sinusitis” diagnosis. Who says-you don’t share love and germs..lol.

Yes….since yesterday afternoon, when I walked 4 houses down the street, going up to thank someone being nice and giving me a pleasant surprise. So I walked up 3 of 4 stairs with no railing. When I stepped on the 3rd step with my left foot, my ankle twisted. Fortunately , Jim was near-by.
I went to urgent care, and was diagnosed with a bad sprain… until 5:45pm. The Physician’s Assistant called me to inform me that the doctor at the hospital read my x-ray and I have an avulsion fracture in my left foot.
No anti- inflammatories, no booze… just a girl, her boot and some ice and Tylenol.
Swell…….

We have a surgeon’s appointment in the area for me today, due to a fibroma grown in my forearm. This bastard is leaning on some nerves in my right arm, and the end result is my lack of sleep.
Tomorrow morning I have a 6 month appointment with the dentist.
Not too bad for the year to date. Two general practice visits, one surgical visit, two dermatology appointments**singing in best 12 days of Christmas voice** and one trip to urgent care….
I hesitate to talk it up, but we are a week short of one year of retirement, and I feel like I am spitting in God’s eye.I am hoping we can keep this up.
Yesterday’s bug bites have really made me crazy.
Witch hazel has fallen by the wayside, and I even threw alcohol on it through last night. Today has me going for bigger guns: clear Calydryl on my leg, and I have a sneaking suspicion I’ll probably have to take a Benedryl before bed tonight.
What is really weird is I seem to be courting a rash on my leg. I am pretty sure there’s no poison ivy, but I probably will spend some time on Web M.D. tonight.
Hope I won’t be sorry to surf the web, but hey… beats Urgent Care.
