The pleasure of my company

There is something to be said for being alone with your self.I mean, not really totally alone, as the fur girls are with me.

It is a beautiful late spring late afternoon turning into twilight, and the air is getting a wee bit cooler, which makes it more pleasant. The screen is open to the back door, keeping the state bug of Wisconsin( tip o’the hat to Terry Quade) AND New Jersey out.The quiet just envelopes your mind and for all the years that you hear people say, put your mind at rest, and you think, this is what they mean.

We just got back in from our post dinner walk and might go out for one more in an hour, but for now, quiet rules the realm. No tv or anything. They’ll be enough later on.And, after all, tomorrow is a work day.

Peace is wonderful!

June Twilight

It has been a good day.

Zush got her summer haircut, which is making her comfortable. We got some really good walks in.Our neighbors invited us to a “man cave/pool” warming. Now we are kicked back and everyone is relaxing.

We had a beautiful late day sun down on the bay, making us appreciate the distance from the city even more, and now, with the windows open, a beautiful breeze is sailing through the house.

Here’s hoping your day was that good!

Sitting and Waiting.

My laptop sits on a little table off in a corner of a room, where I can actually look out a
window to see what’s going on in the yard and street.

It has been my window on the weather world of late.

I have beautiful views of a winter wonderland and at twilight it’s even more magical.

The threat of more upcoming storms has me here sitting and waiting and thinking. It’s become like a mantra in my head: snow, ice and rain. Ugh!It has gotten to the point where the front must be getting closer because the pressure in my sinuses is flaring up.As I sit here thinking of ice, I am lamenting the fact that my yak tracks (ice shoes) are in the storage locker. If it is indeed icy tomorrow, one bus route will probably be rerouted. When will I find out? Uh, when I am waiting at a corner for a bus that will never come.

April,anybody?
