Relief

It has been a mighty long week this week.

The time to come down here to Undisclosed has never been more appreciated. I was talking to someone today and they asked me if I am scared to retire. There are so many ways to take that. As I am still working now, I come down with Jimmy and the girls on the weekend and we have been doing it for five years now.

Between the crap happening in the city, and traveling back and forth. I am not scared at all; merely tired.

I am crazy enough to like off-season, to love the fact that the bay actually will freeze over when the temperature drops low enough. Most importantly, I love the peace and quiet.

It’s time……….

And with a pause in the action…

Today was a free day off, thanks to Mother Nature.

It has gotten a little warmer, but snow is allegedly coming back tonight. This is really a pain in the butt, because we are due up to see our friends Juls and Tim up at their mountain. It is easier not to worry about travel with Mother Nature sticking her two cents in.

Tomorrow also happens to be St.Valentine’s Day.

Have a wonderful day will those you love: spouse, significant other, parent, sibling…because they aren’t always going to be there and you’ll have wished you did.

Big city ugh!

Well, another Sunday, another trip up.
**sigh**

Kasia comes back up without her bandage** knock wood** and seems to be doing ok. I, on the other hand, have an ache in the lower lumbar that really sucks. Zush is hanging in, and Jim is trying to figure out what else we can do to fight inflammation.

It is odd coming up in the light, as the daylight gradually lasts longer. We are looking forward to next weekend when we can stay down for three days.

Have a good week!

Friday Five

Today, we are actually seeing some rain. I am so thankful for that…riding in the car today, saw a lot of fields that are shot due to the heat.

We have our friend Mike with us this weekend. It is great to have him here. We love each other but always nice when someone else provides entertainment. 🙂

The month is August, and it’s almost fall…YAY!

The amount of sweat I am putting out doesn’t seem life threatening, lol, and I seem to be handling it ok!Just don’t sit next to me on the train..I tend to be a little wet.

Good friends, a home, the girls are well…

All is good, thank God!

Kind of tired…

When so see the sight blur on the Christmas shot below, that is basically how I am feeling this morning. How excited was I to score three nights off in a row, thanks to my brother Bob, and was going to celebrate my birthday down the shore.

I have learned one thing.

I can’t party like I used to, and I am not even talking in an alcoholic sense of the word. I am beat. Unlike other times when we could chill and hang out, we were on the go ALL weekend. Philly, undisclosed location, Atlantic City, Pleasantville, Cape May, undisclosed location, Philly….whew**wiping my brow**.I am oh-so-glad that I have titanium and can move around with those new knees, but mentally, well, I am going to have to honor this old butt and keep it subdued.

It’s easier on the Monday morning. 😉
