Hitting a Wall

I am tired.

News flash, right?

Seriously, I need to get my act together and get back to unpacking and donating and washing and trying to figure out what to keep and what to trash.

Did I mention I hate moving?

The first 2 weeks it gave me something to focus on, and it was ok.Now we are almost at the one month mark and I went into the middle room, looked at it and closed the door and went back out. I mean, seriously….there has got to be a better way. I have convinced myself that a chunk of tomorrow will be dedicated to getting in there and clearing some of it out.I admit, it didn’t help today that my favorite show, Law and Order Criminal Intent, was on today which kept me toward the front of the house.I am going to try Netflix on my Kindle tomorrow and hopefully it’ll get me back in motion of fixing the house up right.

Film at 11.

LOL

One lousy night of sleep

That’s all it took.

You can never catch up on sleep that by-passes you: there is no laying catch up.
Plus the added allure of unpacking things and putting things away and trying to find room or toss things just really works as good as Sominex.

I have been working little bit by little bit, between washing, donation piles, trash, walking the girls, visiting friends and at 5P.M. I am beat. There is so much more to do and there is also Mass tomorrow so the act has to get together for the morning.

Did I mention the nice spring weather doesn’t help much either?

LOL

Sunday at home

We were taking advantage of having a quiet Sunday at home .We got a lot of cleaning done, threw a lot of things away trying to straighten the place up.

Kasia has a new leash so she is out with Zush and Jim. What a difference a non choking leash makes.

Hate that it’s Sunday night. I can only hope we make it down for, probably, the last time before it gets knocked down.

It’s going to be a long summer.

How tired am I?

Cleaning out the homestead is taking its’ toll.

I have been averaging 5 white bags of donate-able things and one or 2 bags of trash a night. The girls just look at Mom like , “what’s up?”. My good friend Jeanne assures me that they’ll be happy as long as they are with me and Jim. I sure hope so.

We’ll be trying to sort things out as to what goes where, but that will come later. Time to shower and bed .

Working weekend

It was rough being” at home” instead of being down at Undisclosed.

One of my BFF’s,Kath, threw a surprise party for her husband, so we were up here. Trying to get ahead of the situation, we threw a lot of stuff out, a lot into recyclables, and donated a lot of clothes. After all, this house has got to sell before we can go full time to Undisclosed. I am glad we are doing things a little at a time, because leaving things until time to show/sell, well, it’d be a fiasco.

The hard part is having football on in the background : you want to sit and watch the game- not listening while you clean….There’s got to be a better way!

Happy Easter

Well, it’s Saturday night and managed to get through today with a minimal about of tears thinking of Mom. Actually, I am chuckling to myself as I type this, because although she would have been happy that I went and got the basket of food blessed, she’d be looking for the coconut cream egg that somehow I forgot to get for the basket. It was bittersweet being in Church waiting for the food to get blessed, because the parishioners are waiting for word that the Archdiocese is going to close it as a Church, and possibly just keep it open as a “worship” site. Shingleman asked me what Mass we are going for tomorrow and I am truly torn, This parish is probably looking at its last Easter morning Mass: although since I have been married, I belong to the Church across the park and we really haven’t been up in the city a lot since Mom passed away,so we could go there too!

We threw a lot of things away today, with hopes of using our time here wisely and cleaning out to make the house ready for when we eventually move. Now the Phillies are on the television, although I honestly would want to know how Jamie Moyer, my favorite MLB pitcher, is doing in his game for the Colorado Rockies. I  am waiting for the last load to come out of the dryer , and then, time to shower and bed.

As we would say in Polish- “Wesolego Alleluja”…..Happy Easter!
