Here @ Undisclosed Location

It’s a beautiful day here, if you discount the “gazillion” percent humidity. Allegedly we are due for thunderstorms this afternoon or tonight. In the meanwhile I am taking part of the long standing tradition of moving the sprinkler periodically across the lawn.

The heat is kicking our lawns’ butt, so I convinced Jim to put the sprinkler out, with assurances that I would stay on top of it and move it periodically. Hell, my job during summer vacation, other than walking with my trainer, Kasia, is watering flowers and vegetables. Lawns? No big leap for women-kind there.

You don’t mind it when you manage to snag an occasional sunset like the one above. It makes it all worthwhile.

Last Person Leaving Delaware Bay…

you better hurry….

I had to laugh when I was working the ferry, the amount of “snowbirds” who made reservations to drive to Florida as early as September. Well, now it seems as those who missed the boat are getting on the planes to Las Vegas and Florida and other warm spots.

I am sure it is quite nice to be able to do this, but when you LIVE somewhere, and are HAPPY somewhere, why would you want to be somewhere else.Don’t get me wrong. I am an advocate behind vacations and will take one again some day,It’s hard to encompass the “thought”of vacation, when you live at a spot like this…..

and I am sure Key West has some fabulous sunsets, but hey….

So if you are looking for me, well, here I am.

You’ve got to have friends…..

As the Bard Shakespeare himself once wrote, “Words are easy, like the wind; Faithful friends are hard to find.”

You guys know you are my faithful friends.

You have gotten me , and through prayerful extension,Bob, through the past four years. You have handed me tissues, shared lunch, walked with me, or even just shared a word or too regarding the current situation that I was in. The encouragement is what helped get me though this and I just wanted you to know that, and I am so deeply appreciative for your presence in my life.

I chose the picture for today because the sun has set on my Mom, but there are still clouds in the picture. With all your help, I know I can conquer the clouds and have some closure.

Cliche’ not with standing…thank you for being a friend.
