Take That, Fit Bit!

When I awoke this morning, I got a treat.

A front moved through, and there was a breeze.

Well,as of 4:08PM, I have 13,800 steps.Despite the loss of the 5,000 steps yesterday,I managed to make it past 10,000.That was a little bit of a struggle, but I did it.

It came as a great surprise when I met up with a neighbor this morning after Mass, and we took Kasia with us for a three mile walk.We really breezed through it, even though I had guilt that I left Zush at home: I didn’t feel right leaving her back but I want her to be ok, so we are taking basic walks so she can take care of business.I am selfish and I want her around for as long as possible. Windows were open, fans were on, and I left her a treat, so she was good.

Now all I have to do is go shopping for new fit bit batteries to keep in the refrigerator….

Aches of December

The one flip side of moving here to Undisclosed is the dampness of the bay.It is rough, especially on days like today, when it is rainy.

Sure, we walked down to the bay today to see the stormy weather, but I can’t lie: I think the three of us were soaking wet by the time we got back. It took us awhile, post drying with towels, to dry out.

All that’s left for me tonight is a hot shower and shampoo, then the Voice on the tv.I did my 15,000 fit bit steps-it’s time to rest.

Stay warm, folks.

How cold is it?

We savored the day today, as a clipper is due to hit this area especially tomorrow, Sunday and Monday, with a scheduled high of 18 and low of 9. The clincher is the wind chill, which is due to make it feel like -10 to -25.

I am not too stupid when it comes to weather. I will take the girls out tomorrow and then see how bad it is. They might be going to the potty in the yard if indeed the wind really is that bad. If not,I will get them out and get some steps in to boot.

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th and I’m looking forward to only good things this weekend.Stay warm, snuggle with your Valentine, and be safe!

Withdrawal Symptoms

Argh!

Got up early this morning and got the show on the road.Dogs up and they got their medicine, then their walk. Breakfast done.Off to get my hair done.

Damn!

Walked a mile and a half with NO FIT BIT.I couldn’t believe it. Five months with a fit bit zip on every freaking day and I forgot to put it on.Boy, was I really ticked off.Fortunately,Jim came to the rescue to help me make up the difference by taking me out to a warm store to get some steps in. It is always good to know he is in my corner.

Will this happen again?

Not if I can help it!

So beat!

This trying to keep up with at least 10,000 steps a day is really rough, especially on Fridays.

I lose a bit of time on Fridays because of the time we use running in the car down to undisclosed.Usually I try to squeeze in a few walks with the girls during the day before we have to go in the car.

Today, my legs were so sore but fortunately I got to my 10,000 steps. Since October 29, I have walked 75.78 miles…it is an average of 4. something miles a day.

So forgive me-a hot shower and hair appointment await in the morning,

Update what?

Argh….

4400 steps?
Hey fit bit…4400?
You want to put my glasses on?

Uh, I went on-line and thought I was tracking my fit bit steps and saw this morning that I had 4400 steps. I just came back in after a big time walk with Kasia, honoring Zush’s boo-boo leg, and said WTF? 4400 STEPS?

Oh yes, I have an iPhone and MacBook Pro and fit-bit zip….

Would be nice if I remember the ” Synch” my fit-bit zip with my computer.

I am sure my nephews are both laughing hysterically that techno-Cioci forgot to synch something up.

Fit this Bit!

Well, it seems that Fridays are my low days on the fit bit, averaging around 7,000 steps.Once I get to the weekend, it’s a better story. I average around 11,000 to 12,000 steps on the weekends and have been doing pretty good for the week.

I am walking the girls and outside all, the leaves are down. My four-legged children are quite like 2 legged children. They love walking through the leaves. It’s funny that their fur color is matching the leaf color.

We’re enjoying the weekend. We are hoping, gentle reader, you are doing the same.
