Caffenation Station

My “sister ” came back from a week away and brought me a spectacular reward for minding the house.

I got a beautiful bracelet and earring set. Even more importantly, she brought me a pound of Jamaican blue mountain coffee! I really got into drinking the coffee in the 80’s, but as the price went up, my pockets were not that deep. Places like Zabars and Balduccis in New York City and the Reading terminal market in Philadelphia had “Jamacian Blue mountain-style”.., but this cup I am savoring right now?

Don’t care what time I am falling asleep tonight…it’s that good!

Dodging the bullet…

…for a day.

Or at least three-quarters of a day.

Looking at the television, and seeing snow in Philadelphia, New York and other spots, when it came time for me to walk the girls in the rain, I was a happy girl. I even managed to get over 18,000 steps in today on my Fit Bit zip.

Because? Yes, I know “it’s coming.”The barometric pressure is coming down. The girls have been walked to the point of exhaustion.I’m beat too. Worrying about if we are going to lose power when the wet snow brings wires down.Do we have candles and flashlights? The house has everything and all we have to do is wait.

Stay safe, friends, especially if in the snow zone.

They say that there is often sympathetic pain when a family member is suffering.

Zush has her issue with the cyst on her rear left leg. Me? My lower spine is knotted up tighter than a Philadelphia soft pretzel. I had been sleeping off and on since four o’clock this afternoon .My brother-in-law and Jim’s nephew Tom were over and I was completely oblivious to it,

Now I am up and having a little rice pudding for dinner, typing the post, and then a shower and bed, only to be up at three to head back up to the city.It truly will be sweet once the two of us are back on all our wheels again.

Here’s hoping your night is good, your week is better and the weekend comes really quickly!
