Pancake Breakfast

The Property Owners’s Association runs a pancake breakfast on the third Saturday of the month.

That’s a shot of the guys in the kitchen making up pancakes and sausage.Jim is off on the right, doing the batter. We work the front,We take and deliver the orders ,deliver drinks and just help out.

It’s a nice way to participate in the community, and we have to do this next in May. I’m glad.,,,I have to rest up.

Fall in

Out this morning and it definitely had a feel of autumn in the air.

I was in a hoodie and was just comfortable. The clouds in my coffee matched the clouds in my sky, and the furgirls and I took it all in.

Looking forward to weather, the flannel sheets are on the bed, even though I have one or two windows open to sneak some fresh air in.

We are getting ready for a big weekend. Our Property Owners Association had their pancake breakfast tomorrow morning and we have a Moose picnic tomorrow afternoon. Most social activity we have had in a long time….whoo-hoo!

Hanging Out

Down at Undisclosed, we had a chance today to kick back with a few of our neighbors this afternoon at the Property Owners Association building.

They held a deck party for us today and we had over 50 folks show up.Jim and I are active in the property owners association and know a lot of the folks from working the pancake breakfast. We went with a few of our neighbors and friends for a dinner of either chicken or shrimp lo mein, and fresh pineapple and watermelon for dessert.

It is hard for us to leave, because going back to the city is really wearing on both of us and we would be happy to be down here now.We wrapped up the party and came back home. The girls got their last walk of the night, and now, well, we are hoping we are able to sleep so we can wind up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to head up to our work week.

Down the shore everything’s alright

Today is the first day of summer, and it seems that anyone who could, made it down the shore to celebrate the longest weekend of the year.

It is an overcast day here at Undisclosed, although the sun has been playing hide and seek in the clouds. Unfortunately, at least to me,it is also humid, which is my least favorite of weather conditions. My only consolation is that there are maybe three more months of humidity and then fall shows up. My father, and my mom, too, on occasion, would remark about wishing your life away, but humid days, as I get older, well, I can do without.

Pancake breakfast is done, fresh shower under my belt, cold iced tea in my cup… life is good.

Happy First Day of Summer.

A beautiful day

Winter has left us for a little and it is a gorgeous day here at Undisclosed Deux. Unfortunately, weather is supposed to return to the nasty state by Monday: we can only wait and see.

The pancake breakfast fundraiser was this morning and it was our first turn volunteering in the crew. You don’t realize what all goes into things like that until you are thrown into them, and it’s safe to say that Jim and I are both beat.

Off to Mass now, and hopefully a quiet evening. Here’s wishing the same for you!
