We are back in the Lankenau shuffle. My mother in law is back in so we got up here tonight to spend some time with her.Her leg is really bad, and needs to get antibiotics four times a day .She is not the easiest patient. We do manage to get her to eat when Jim is here.
She enjoys strolling with him too!
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery!
So you know we’ve been busy visiting my mother-in-law.
Here the jokester switched spots. She was in great form as you can see in this picture.
We had a good visit.
There was only one thing that made the visit a tight squeeze. On Friday night, our car wouldn’t start. Jim ended up getting us a rental car so we’d be able to get up and see her.
So here was our pretty little car. I was in heaven.I didn’t have to climb into our Escape, nor get myself down. On the other side, Jim hated the rental car because he was used to the SUV.
Jim’s buddy, who is a mechanic, diagnosed it long distance. He got a new battery and , for now, the car seems ok. Jim’s Mom is hanging in, as are we.
If only the humidity would leave….
So with Jim’s mom in town, you try to be a good host. I had an aching right shoulder that I had been limping along with. Last night the pain was so severe, I decided to go to my local Urgent care.
The verdict was a tear in my shoulder blade muscle.; just enough to put a name to my severe pain. The basic blue sling is for a week.
Here’s Jim and his Mom out to eat ar McDonald’s. We gave her a full stay here at ” Undisclosed.” I glad Jim had a chance to spend time with her.
Nice to make people happy!
My Mother-in-law is staying with us this weekend at the Undisclosed Location. Jim’s sister, Kathy, has a week off, so we invited his Mom down to spend the weekend. His other sisters will help the rest of the week , basically, because Mom is pretty good, but she’s 93..
Jim’s buddy lost his Mom and her funeral yesterday made hit home that his Mom is basically the last one left. As I type this, the two are watching old music clips on You tube. I am glad they are having quality time and both of the are appreciating it.
I will be letting them go: time for me and our neighbors walk our 4,2 mile walk.
Happy rainy Saturday from the Undisclosed Location!
