Weighting for ….

the rain to stop, so I can take Kasia for a walk.

Fortunately, I had work today which had me moving. I had special education for kindergarten, along with second and third grades. Meanwhile, back at home…

…my buddy,Kasia, waited patiently for me to get home. It’s funny, but she seems to know that she graduated from dog/ daughter to personal trainer. We all are moving so much more than we did from this past fall and winter, and it is reflected in us feeling a little bit better, mentally. I genuinely believe that is half the battle.

There are plenty of beautiful things to look at here during a walk, including this picture of the daffodils I saw before the rain. It makes you appreciate being here by the bay.

Let’s not forget my pretty girl Kasia.

But in the meantime, tomorrow we are going food shopping for the week. It will be the first time we will be trying fresh fish. You have to remember that we weren’t fish people, outside of tuna.We always seemed to go for seafood, such as scallops or shrimp. I admit that I was the one holding us back a bit, but I have gotten used to it now. I know it is better for us in the long run, and my body feels better a bit just in the first month of calorie counting. We are looking forward to trying the new recipes that the dietician found for us, in addition to kicking back and getting our batteries recharged.

Have a great weekend. Thanks for reading!

Medical Cha-cha

I have used the book pictured above with some success in the past. I used it because I wanted to, and it became my food bible.

Now, for something different, I NEED this book for medical reasons. It would appear that carbohydrate count will be a part of my daily life. So, in order to thoroughly embrace this, we went food shopping. We did this with one catch. I read the labels on each and on every product that went in the cart. Nothing with carbs over 10 .Assuming that my limit would be roughly. 60-70 grams of carbs a day. It was really a shock when I looked at juice, yes, JUICE, and saw 36 carbs a serving. I shook my head and really figured that eating right is really going to have to be my daily religion. If I don’t, I might not have a day to be around in.

I really want to thank three of my besties, Juls, Bonnie and JP. After talking with you guys over the last few weeks, To my buddy Kath, bestie from way back…you always have my back even through our TBMP days together.** hugs to you all.**

I KNOW I can do this.

Damn..no eggs, bread or milk…

As we were down Undisclosed Deux this weekend, we were trying to unload the storage locker and get stuff out. Food shopping didn’t make the cut.

Last night, as Jim and I lay in bed, we listened to the rain…which became snow and up in the northwestern part of the city was around 6 inches deep.We managed to scrounge stuff for dinner, but I am definitely going to have to bring something home tomorrow for dinner.

Of course snow was melting today and will freeze back up again tonight.

Did I mention there’s an ice storm forecasted for Wednesday?

**sigh**
