Wonder Women on Halloween

So I don’t know if you’ve seen the commercial for Halloween, where the boys want to take more than one piece of candy from a house on Halloween, and then not one, but several Wonder Women and little girls dressed up as wonder women come out to intimidate the boys.

Seriously?

What ever happened to making up your own costume for Halloween, or at least have your parent help you do it? What every happened to someone being home to hand out candy, as opposed to leaving a basket of candy out with a sign?

Once again I am glad that I have reached my age: it is sad that todays’ children have to experience Halloween in this way.

Sad.

Rainy Days and Tuesdays

My Zusher is laying down by me as I sit on the sofa.

It’s day two of rain, but a little better for my girls today, as Momma is home and not shy about walking in the rain. Dad tends to let them in the yard. Oh well.

We will be checking the radar for heavy perception, and will try to get out for a longer walk before any deluges start. It is a wonderful time down here at “Amity”. Cool enough to walk without getting a drenching sweat going, and minimal tourists.

We love hanging together, even in the rain. We all get a little exercise and can rest better for it.

It’s a good thing!

Long Night’s Journey into Day

It was a crappy night. Really.

It was definitely an” I’ll walk a mile for a Camel”cough that kept me up. So much so that I am waiting for a 10:15 appointment with the nurse practitioner. I really put this on two things- the weather and Jim picking up a germ from school and bringing it home.

The girls, unfortunately, are out back on the deck, enjoying the nice weather. I don’t think walking is on the agenda for me today.

Maybe tomorrow….

Rest

Despite prior years of dermatologist visits, I had no choice but to work on my tan. I, thanks to SEPTA, waited for a bus to go make a doctor’s appointment. While I waited a good 45 minutes, the sun was playing peek-a-boo and I felt that all was missing was baby oil!**joking**

Went to the doctor, and got some of my medicine adjusted. Jim and I go to the same physician, so part of the issue is how to get rid of our hacking that we are doing.

Rest is on the agenda. We are going to step away and relax and revel in the Undisclosed.

Sometimes, you just need it!
