Time to Defrost, yet?

This is the one time I will honestly come out and say I miss living in the city.

Yes, you heard me right.

In the city, at least you had a house next to you on one side or maybe, if you were in a row house, two. That way you weren’t quite as cold. Down here, you are a single home and we are raised up from the ground, so when you have any wind, well, it sure finds you.

It’s due to be cold tomorrow too, which is no shocker since it IS January, after all. My girls were good with running in the back while I stayed in away from the ice. Fortunately, hot shower and flannel sheet time is just around the corner.

Sleep warm, gentle reader.

And The Wayward Wind…..

This is a picture from our walk during the morning.I added the bay pictures so you could see how blustery it was.

My nephew,Matt, let me know that a front was blowing up last night. Needless to say, I was surprised to see leaves off the trees and on the ground that would measure up to my bionic knees, and I am 5’6″ tall. As Jim says, he’ll be needing a shovel to get out tomorrow to get through all of the leaves.

So it’s clean flannel sheets on the bed and an extra blanket, and we are good to go! Stay warm!

Fall in

Out this morning and it definitely had a feel of autumn in the air.

I was in a hoodie and was just comfortable. The clouds in my coffee matched the clouds in my sky, and the furgirls and I took it all in.

Looking forward to weather, the flannel sheets are on the bed, even though I have one or two windows open to sneak some fresh air in.

We are getting ready for a big weekend. Our Property Owners Association had their pancake breakfast tomorrow morning and we have a Moose picnic tomorrow afternoon. Most social activity we have had in a long time….whoo-hoo!

February Friday Five

Managed to escape from the big city for a little.

When we got down to Undisclosed, we came through snow and cold. It’s nice. Nice clear air to clean the city crap out of my lungs. The girls are in heaven running out in the back yard playing in the snow!

We get to go out to dinner tonight with our friends. We don’t get a chance to go often, so it promises to be a nice night. It’s always good to hang with good friends.

My health is decent enough that I managed to donate a pint of blood. I remember post-chemo when I couldn’t. I am happy I can.

It’s cold enough that snuggling on the flannel sheets under the comforter tonight, well, if it stays cold, I’m not going to want to leave the bed tomorrow. Oh…Saturday….yay! I CAN stay in bed.

I’m looking forward to a Superbowl party Sunday at my friend’s house. We don’t always go to one, and I am rooting for as close to local as I am going to get, the Ravens.

Have a good weekend!
