One of Those Days

I really wish I could have posed like Kasia did for this picture..

I got a day off today, only to have to go back to the ophthalmologist to have my eyes measured again for the surgery. I understand the surgeon wanted to double check my numbers, but an hour and a half round trip tires you out.

Then, neighborhood drama was going on and drama, well, I just don’t have the stomach for it anymore, so I just kept shaking my head while trying to be polite.

I can’t wait for everything to be done so I can get back to normal. A busy schedule is just not fun in retirement.

It’s back

Just when I thought it was safe to be content in the office, well….it’s back.

Drama.
Office drama.

It seems that I have some aura that must be triggered when things are quiet. ” Hey, it’s time to get Mar’s gut in a knot again.”

Guess what? I am not going to let it happen. I don’t dump on considerate friends, so my “psychiatrist is in” shingle is in the trash.

Drama? Got no time for it!

Change of address

Well, all the drama in the office has hit the fan for me today. I was informed mid- morning I was getting transferred back to my prior position.

I had worked that position for five years. Quite frankly, I left to make a lateral move to another area that was short staffed. Now that all of my buddies retired, there was no one left to do my original job.

Hopefully, things will quiet down for me on the job, and that would be a good thing! ** here’s hoping!**

Haven’t a clue….

Allegedly, the office is going through a housecleaning. Hopefully, I won’t be swept up with the trash. The drama doesn’t even go away any more: it just tapers off and then picks up again. All this makes me wish the house gets sold rapidly, so I can pack up and get to the Undisclosed and get on with my life.

Meanwhile, I am glad for the knee replacements, because who knows how long I am going to have to tread water. I can’t wait until I can hang out with Zush.

Save the Drama for your Momma..

…Well, since Mom isn’t here, I have been trying to help my brother Bob get seen at Pennsylvania for his knee, which is killing him. He didn’t realize that when, God forbid, it would come to a chance of surgery, the Doctor wouldn’t touch you until  you lose the weight. Bob is morbidly obese. “How am I going to lose 100 pounds in a month?” I told him you aren’t necessarily having surgery, and at least they would get you started on the road to healing your knee. Stay tuned for this one.

…On the other hand, there was NOTHING worth blanking out my brain on Sunday night more than the Kardashians. Having gone through the week I went through, I could only snicker at their drama. It’s making public television look like the only way to go.

Here’s hoping we all have a little less drama this week………( outside of the beauty of this dramatic picture)

What a week…

This week has been awfully long for me.

It could be because I knew I would have no chance to sneak out to the Undisclosed location. The fact that my escape hatch was bolted shut, so to say, seemed to magnify the drama dancing around in my life.

But that was this week.

It’s Friday. I’m home tonite. It’s getting colder out so I have to bring the rest of the plants in. A little baking to make the house smell good is also on my agenda. Walking both the girls to keep us in shape. Turning clocks back equals an extra hour sleep Sunday. Most importantly, I’ve got my love to keep me warm.

Pretty lucky girl and I know it.

Have a good weekend.
