The Difference between Here and There

Jim and I went out to dinner tonight. It was spontaneous and a really enjoyable time. There was one little twist in the matter: we went to Cape May.

Of course, no home our way looks like this. This is Cape May.  It’s  seldom that we venture to the city during the ” high holy season”, Navagating through the groups of tourists is not our favorite pastime. But then?

Sure we love where we are. The peace and quiet is great, off season, that is. Granted we are not as crowded as Cape May is. When we manage to sneak into Cape May, and actually don’t have too many people around, it’s truly a delightful experience.

Late afternoon sky

I have a habit of taking a lot of sunset shots. It could be that our Undisclosed location is on a coast known for its’ sunsets.

The fur girls are with us for a final fling in our old stomping grounds- new ones are coming. So rather than go up in crowds to watch the sunset, we are in the back yard relaxing. There is a bit of a breeze and this way we enjoy nature in our own way. An added plus is Zush hangs with me during fireworks! Less anxiety for my girl.

Enjoy the Fourth!

That kind of morning

I decided to take the bus in today. It’s Ash Wednesday, so I figured I’d stop for ashes since I am working late today.

Aah, public transportation in the big city, er, sardine cans are us. Those drivers hear only a chance of bad weather….to the buses they go! The smell of a crowded bus is something you never forget, either….

It’s going to be one of those days!!!!!
