A New Day, the Same Ailment

It’s a beautiful day down here at Delaware Bay.I should qualify that by saying, I THINK it’s a beautiful day.

I can see out my front and back windows and it is a pretty day, but I haven’t been out of the perimeter of the house. You see, I woke up this morning and the red that was working to leave my knee?Well, it came back with a vengeance.I am waiting for the orthopedic doctor to call me back as I type this.

It is a pretty day. All my windows are open, no air-conditioning, and a good breeze is going through the house. The girls are in their usual positions, which is always a few feet from me.I had the inspired idea to call my buddy Denise, who was my maid of honor, and it was good to hear her voice. So with the exception of a warm, red knee,I am good.

Sorry for venting, but that is over.Things have got to be looking up!

Dog days of June

We came down to Undisclosed location to… get away from city heat and humidity and down for a little breeze. The poor fur- kids pass out under the air conditioning, and we are right behind them. It is only a temporary respite, as we have to get back early to finish packing.

We also lost a good friend today, who fought hard against Parkinson’s ,but lost. Nothing like dealing with loss and heat for a two- fer.

Things have to get better, I hope!

Friday five

I have never been as thankful for spring as I have been this year.Is it me or did it seem like a long winter?

With spring comes allergies: sorry I am stuck going through them, but the little blooming pops of color are well worth it.

I am thankful for the fresh dog bones I am able snag for the girls. I know when we head out for Undisclosed, it keeps them happy!

As much as I get annoyed with weathermen, I am much in their debt: when I get a good forecast, it makes me want to slide walking shoes on and go.

I am stealing a few minutes on a neighbor’s open porch, enjoying the breeze~ here’s hoping you can do the same!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Loving this August day..

…a little overcast, a little light rain, a ton of walking and most importantly..breezy!

I always have enjoyed the anticipation of hurricanes, and turned into a weather maniac watching the Weather Channel and following sites on-line. I have always been intrigued by what happens as the storm works its way up the coast, the early “knocks on the door” of barometric pressure changes and storm fronts.

After all, it’s hurricane season: it’s August!
