Rough hours

When you are accustomed to sleeping from 9:30 PM to 5:00 AM, and you get up a few times during the night, you are used to operating through the day on a set amount of hours.

Today, I got up earlier than usual, worked a little overtime, and then participated in a marketing study that was done at 9:30PM.I tried not to be over caffeinated during the day, but I do confess that I knew I’d have to be responsive around people at an hour when I’d normally be asleep, well, I anticipated being awake and not embarrassing myself.

I actually am going in to work tomorrow, as they are having a Red Cross bloodmobile and I am scheduled to make a donation of blood. Our friends, Juls and Tim, are due down to spend the weekend with us.I am praying that we all can hang out together and, dogs included, just relax,

Here’s hoping that your Friday finds you anticipating the weekend and your weekend is enjoyable.

Ah, the noise….

There’s one thing I am quite looking forward to …. a decrease of the noise in my life.

Here in the city, it seems the term “fish mongers wife” never died because that’s all I seem
to be hearing here lately.Doesn’t anyone speak in an inside voice anymore?

I get on public transportation with school teens and my head is splitting before my day starts
and the headache just lingers and lingers.

The only peace my head gets is at Undisclosed location.

It’ll be nice not to where earphones and take medication for headaches and just be able to go out
and sit and listen to nature and the watch the stars.

**sigh**

006

November is here…

…and the weather outside, color on leaves not withstanding, is more reminiscent of
March.

Go figure!

A busy morning on tap for us gals, both my four=legged and me, so we can do our
household chores and go down to Undisclosed Location II with Jim.

Uh, let me rephrase that…

We’ll, no doubt, spend time in the tile store, major box hardware stores, in’
addition to trying to kick back and relax over the weekend. We’ll see how
far things have hopefully progressed and what decisions need to be finalized
and put to bed.Jim,from the beginning, has said, once we make the decision
on x, y, or z, we have made it and that’s that.I have to keep that in my
mind constantly because it has been a seemingly long process.

Enjoy your Friday!

Whale of a day

Our town at undisclosed location was founded in 1680 as a whaling village .
Traditionally they celebrate their history with a street festival they call Whale of a Day. It is traditionally celebrated the Saturday after the Fourth of July.

Jim and I cranked up the air and left the fur girls in it while we walked down to take in the street fair. The heat was tremendous, but we had lunch and listened to a couple local musicians perform. As we walked back, you could only fry in the heat, and savor the air conditioning you went back to.

How sad. It makes me wonder how man screwed up the atmosphere to have such heat. Then again, I am always one who wondered whatever happened to spring.

Friday Five

It’s been a while so here goes…

I am grateful for the delicious cool front blowing through the area this morning.
It makes the fur girls and myself oh so comfy not to sweat.

The birch trees we have planted along the side of the house are nid=ce and green and protecting the house
with lovely shade. Not only pretty, not only home to the birds, but shady!

A chance to have a three day weekend away from city issues and bumps and
bruises-the body and mind are both grateful .

An opportunity to get some good fur girl walking in to get all three of
us in shape-go team fur girl!

For all my good friends and your support for me, please always feel it’s right
back at you!

Have a great weekend.
