The allure of the water is deceiving. You figure you are at the ocean, bay or whatever. What do you forget about?
I have been doing longer walks with Kasia trying to burn up the calories. Now the problem is I have a pocket full of Kleenex I have to deal with while handling Kasia and her paraphernalia.
Sure, the flowers are a beautiful sight, and I always appreciate the view of them after the snow of winter.
I try to be good to my body with as much holistic medicine as I can get ahold of during allergy season. I figure that to throw chemicals down my throat isn’t really the relief I am looking for: as a matter of fact, I feel it is an invitation for y0ur body to start trouble where it currently may not have trouble. While I am doing the calorie counting, I feel more in tune with my body than I have in the past couple of years. So, for example, when I am congested, I use a saline wash to clean my nose out. That simple act puts the YOU in user friendly.
Well, speaking of walks, it’s time for my buddy/training partner, Kasia, and I to go and get some fresh air in our lungs and hang out together. We’ll hopefully enjoy it and come back worn out.
It must be spring.
Noses are itchy, eyes are watering, and all of a sudden, someone yells,”TORNADO”.
It is a beautiful time of the year. I get to weed out the garden, put some caladium bulbs in and work on the other seeds. I actually have feet that are sandal worthy.I am fortunate in that I have weeded out a ton of older spring clothes and thus, my wardrobe choices are limited for now, but that’s ok.
I have the sandals out and the last Thursday, had the girls out at the bay and came back with a wet sock and a wet sneaker. The key here is being bay friendly for everyone, both Momma and girls.
We are looking forward to the peace and quiet on Mondays through Thursdays, as the shoobies come down and it gets a little more noisy. That’s ok, though.
We live here!
I have always considered myself a big city resident,
albeit in a smaller area of it; that is, I didn’t
As a resident of this city I have been cursed, since 17,
with crappy sinuses. It was always sinus colds in
winter and summer, with a chaser of allergies in
spring and fall.
As I look up out the window, I see a front that is
trying to approach.I didn’t have to look up to do
that-the sinus headache told me so.
What a gift….lol
It was a little difficult, but I am fortunate enough to have this to complain about…I am beat.
We left Undisclosed location at 9pm, and even then got in shore traffic. I know: I am lucky to have the Undisclosed to come up from. As I get a wee bit older, crawling into bed at11:30 means it’s rough getting up in the morning! A double cup of coffee today was of little help. I think pollen and allergies had something to do with it, but when you have to take medicine ,well, it’s what you have to do.
Hopefully an early night tonight will help me play catch up.** fingers crossed**
Below is a shot from out of my middle bedroom …. A front is coming up from the south, I certainly hope so because as you know by now..heat is not my friend. Hopefully, my wheezing and hacking will get knocked out, along with the pollen, with this storm..
Funny, because AMC had ” The Perfect Storm” on when I came home from work….I always loved the story and effects that went into that film, and, of course, George Clooney is easy to take….lol
Back in the day, it would currently be spring. What I mean is it would be 50-60 degrees in the daytime, and maybe high 40’s at night.
Now, thanks to global warming, the spring flowers are all bloomed out, and we have seemingly jumped into summer planting of impatiens, dusty miller and marigolds. Well, I managed to plant at Undisclosed and here, but this summer weather?
I miss my spring coat.
So here I am after Jim’s big birthday weekend on the morning train: believe me, if there was a chance to take today off, I ‘d have taken it.
Pollen is not my friend today. I look like I have 3 sacks of coffee under each eye and have the hack to prove it. Oh well…the things we do for our loved ones tire you out for what you have to do for a check!
