Here at Undisclosed, the holidays officially commence with the West Cape May Parade and also the lighting of the Congress Hall Christmas tree. This is how, Jim, myself, our friend Jerry and Vida spent our Friday night.
We saw the festivities and shopped around the little booths and enjoyed ourselves. I started with a cinnamon bun latte and graduated to a chocolate martini with my friend Vida and it was something we both enjoyed. The boys had beers, and were happy with those.
Part of the game of Congress Hall was sitting around watching the folks who are there and we love to do that and we had folks laughing with us.
Our girls, however, weren’t happy that we were out partying….they’ll get over it.
So I am sitting here in my neighborhood Dunkin’Donuts, having taken public transit up to a doctor’s appointment. Having been blessed enough to get through three cancers, I don’t,as a rule, let my health slide. Mom took priority, but as she is gone eleven months now, well, time to play catch up.
Sitting in DD, I am a table away from some locals discussing current events. A livelier crew I have not come across in a while. Due to the Duchess of Cambridge’s current extreme morning sickness, well, these folks are dissecting the situation to the nth degree. I can imagine the staff here. It would be worth the price of working here to get the floor show.
Now that I am full of current events, I guess it’s time for the doctors.
Have a wonderful day.
My husband’s nephew, Tom, called me today while we were in the city: he wanted to take Jim and me out for dinner, since he was at the Jersey shore, and we would be.
We got to the spot, and early enough for happy hour, and although we were melting, the cold beer made us forget ! We had Dungeness crab, conch fritters, mussels in red sauce, and clams casino.
Good company, nice bay breeze, and calories…..rough start to the weekend!!
We are wrapping up a wonderful stretch of time here @Undisclosed, and hate to leave.
Jim had the morning off from his deli job, so with the rest of the day? It was awesome!
Pups were always walking, and I managed two days walking 4.2 miles a day with my neighbor friends. We saw friends and tried to relax and just hoped Jim’s pain gets better.
Hate to leave- can’t wait to be here full time!
Happiest of birthdays to my brother Bob, who I would kill for.
Look out tomorrow the celebration begins~ Whoo-hoo!
