Winter Storm OVER

I guess the Weather Channel thinks they have almighty power over the National Weather Service and have decided to name all the winter storms.

Seriously?

And tonight’s storm due to hit here is named Thor? What’s more depressing? The fact it’s March 4th and all the storms have hit ALL THE WAY down to”T”? Or is it more depressing that we have managed to make it through and are still here to see yet ANOTHER storm? Would it be the fact that the Weather Channel figures it’s a cute marketing tool to name those storms.

Dear Weather Channel,

I am 55 years old and have gone through enough storms.I know there will be more to come.Do you have to be cute with the winter storms? Seriously? Just tell us what’s up,ok? Unless you are coming to shovel or walk the girls in the ice, just the facts, ok?

A disgusted viewer who doesn’t live in Boston.

Weather or not

It was my nephew Matt’s interest in weather that peaked mine.

He studied it and as he did,all of a sudden my weather report, once a glance at a television screen or ear toward the radio, became the NOAA weather page on the computer or the weather channel or weather underground. Thanks to Matt’s interest I learned to pay attention.

The reason I am writing this post is that down here at Undisclosed, it currently is raining and the forecasted for rain through tomorrow. This weekend, traditionally, has a wine festival here this weekend because for a good deal of folks in these parts, it’s a holiday weekend.Normally they would have it at the Cape May Lewes ferry grounds.Evidently, parking was an issue, so they moved the location this year.

They moved it to a large open field off of the Garden State parkway. That’s going to be good. Torrential downpours, and although they have tents, I was never so glad I am not into wine. Schlepping around in mud is not my idea of a good time.

Stay dry and classy, Cape May!

And with a pause in the action…

Today was a free day off, thanks to Mother Nature.

It has gotten a little warmer, but snow is allegedly coming back tonight. This is really a pain in the butt, because we are due up to see our friends Juls and Tim up at their mountain. It is easier not to worry about travel with Mother Nature sticking her two cents in.

Tomorrow also happens to be St.Valentine’s Day.

Have a wonderful day will those you love: spouse, significant other, parent, sibling…because they aren’t always going to be there and you’ll have wished you did.
