What is it about hair?
I decided to try to let mine grow out a little bit.An end result of that is I went to an interview looking like a rag mop.
Well, not really, but you get the idea.Time to visit my local salon, called “Cuttin’Edge.
I went and got my hair done today and it is incredible what a trim will do, and I also got my”skunk stripe”, as I affectionately call it,covered. It is amazing what a little bit of TLC to the body does to the soul.Even out of a” working” environment, you get wrapped up in a daily grind and even a pass at a mirror brings your thought to “tomorrow”.
Well my tomorrow was today.I went to my salon and hung out with a few of my buddies and had a blast.I find it ironic that you, regardless of length of hair, go to a salon to”let your hair down”, as it were.
Here’s a view of the back of my bob in training cut. We’ll see how I make out.
What is it about the rain?
Farmers and their families pray for it, when it rains too much, people get depressed, and people in Seattle have a ton of it.
We have had rain last night and today. The earth gets so scorched, so how can you not be happy to see it?We still go out and the girls and I go for our walks, but we are definitely doing a lot of inside stuff so far. Jim and our friend Mike are out, so I made some chocolate chip cookies for them when they come in. I even went out and got my hair down today…so for people who say there is nothing to do in the rain, well,..
…there’s always something!
So here I am , back at Cuttin’ Edge, getting a color & trim, and I have a chance to try new KCup flavors.
It always is nice to try a flavor and not have to commit. Kind of like life, and how you wish it could be!
Today’s flavors are Folger’s caramel drizzle, and Van Houtte’s Apple caramel pie. I sigh, because, America can’t cure cancer, but these coffees smell exactly as advertised. How they manage to make this happen is beyond me.
Have a great weekend!
So I am down @ Undisclosed, looking like a Herman’s Hermit. Fortunately, I have an appointment with Diane, my stylist at Cuttin’ Edge hair salon .
My mom always hated the fact that I colored my hair. My buddy,Liz, started doing it for me at 33. I was just diagnosed with cancer and she had said I was to young to be do gray. I was fortunate to find DI an Cuttin Edge here at Undisclosed …I get a little me time on the weekend , and leave feeling a little better about me!
Who can ask for anything more?
