Big Guns

Today, as a substitute teacher, I dealt with fourth and fifth graders.

Egad!

After dealing with younger children, I now had to put on the big teacher boots.

Fortunately, I managed fourth and fifth pretty well. I have to admit it was a challenge. You are dealing with students who are 10 and 11 going on 25. For instance, in English, I worked with them on stories they were typing. I don’t know if it’s exposure to social media or what. All I know is I was a ton more innocent about life than these kids are.

I guess I’m in for an advanced education!
